Have you heard of Hubpages? So, thirteen days ago I ventured out and signed up and immediately started writing on it, and imagine what was my first article on the platform? This is exactly what you are seeing in the image below; Why is Medium an undiscovered treasure on the internet? This is the theme of my first Hubpages article.
If you don’t know what Hubpages is, it is a revenue sharing and user-generated content site, the site was founded in 2006, being a company that acquired its main competitor, Squidoo, in 2014 and went from being a model site business model to multiple site template in 2016.
Perfect, now that you know, let’s explain what these sections of hubs are.
Buddy, I have been looking for sites that pay people who love to write for a while, and I was evaluating all the platforms I found, and Medium together with Hubpages, were the platforms that moved me and I just fell in love with both platforms! It is obvious that I know Medium better in relation to Hubpages, although it is my habit not to sign up for a platform without first doing a thorough investigation.
So, as I was saying; I got to know Hubpages and started to create one of these sections called hubs; because while here at Medium we call the articles stories, at Hubpages, everything is different.
Brother, in less than three days, my first article reached a thousand views, and soon the site put my article in the hubs in highlights; imagine my joy? Only I had not yet signed up for the Hubpages partner program because I was waiting for Google AdSense to approve my hub because under the guidelines they do not approve sites under construction; and I’ve already lost a lot of money, you know why? Because as soon as I signed up, I started to do what you can see in the image below.
But does this section of Hubpages pay really well?
Good; I only started in thirteen days and I don’t really know how much I can earn here, just in the FAQs on the site it says that you earn more, when you start to reach more accesses to your hubs; and believe me, the testimonies do not spare the ostentation, look at the images below how much some writers have already earned and continue to earn writing at Hubpages.
I can say that Hubpages is a kind of Medium, but it was founded first and has a different form of earnings, because it is earned by sharing revenue, you earn on this platform when advertisers place ads in your hubs, and when readers have impressions with these ads or click on it, the revenue is split between you and the platform, where you get% 60 of the revenue and 40% goes to the platform.
And what forms of gain?
Good; there are several forms of earnings; first is that as a member you have access to sign up for Hubpages’s internal partner program, and the second way is that you can paste links from Amazon referrals so that whoever buys your products earns you for purchases made through the ads you placed in the hubs, and the third form is Google AdSense; that’s right, Hubpages has a partnership with Google AdSense, that’s why it makes the platform a good choice for writers because it has a good ranking in search engines, when you post a story, if it is a good story it can go viral and be found across Google.
And what is the difference between Medium and Hubpages?
If you want to achieve your growth as a content writer, Hubpages is a good option for you to have an experience as a writer, because something else is different between Hubpages and Medium; is that on Medium you can post anything you want as long as it is not an offense, encouragement to hate or terrorism and drugs; because even if you don’t have adequate spelling, you can post without problems; at Hubpages, if you are bad at writing, my friend you will fail; because in Hubpages before an article is posted on the air, it goes through a sieve of professional readers who will assess whether your article is qualified for the quality of content; that is, how much on Medium you post stories written anyway; at Hubpages you learn to be professional and if you don’t; you will never pass. This shows that all Hubpages writers are quality professionals; this is the difference because Medium has two classes; professionals and amateurs, Hubpages has only one class.
On the 29th of January I was already selected for the best content of the week; unfortunately among many old professionals and experts, the novice like me, did not win any awards, but one day we arrived there.
So, what did you think of the idea of you also writing on Hubpages, to see if you correct some errors that you may have made in some small ways here on Medium?
God bless you and until the next article.
